Ñeque has it is origin in Cauquenes, one of the most antique plantations in Chile, at 24 km from the Pacific ocean in the Chilean coastal mountains.
Varietal Composition:100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Geographic AreaCauquenes, Maule Valley
Winemaking:The grapes were hand-picked and carefully selected. It went through a cold maceration of three days at 5°C. The alcoholic fermentation was in stainless steel tanks at 27°C with selected yeast. The malolactic fermentation was carried out in French oak barrels and was aged for fourteen months.
Winemaker's comments:This wine has a dark red color. On the nose it is a complex and elegant wine, where the black fruits, spices and cassis complement the notes of tobacco due to extended barrel aging. In the mouth it is a bulky wine, very elegant of dense and silky tannins. A buttery start, with notes of dry plums, cherries and smooth chocolate to follow. This wine has a fresh and persistent finish.
Food pairings:Enjoy it with red meats, especially with lamb. Also is excellent with strong and creamy cheeses. Served between at 16°C to 18°C.
Cellaring recommendations:Eight to ten years.
